It draws on
In 'Usher II', one of the chronicles, a man builds Poe's House of Usher on Mars to take revenge on the censors who burned books like Poe's, and brings it down on them as Poe's house fell.
Bradbury took the shape of his book from Steinbeck: short chapters between the stories, sketches and vignettes that link them and give the settling of Mars the sweep of a great migration.
No later work in the atlas draws on it yet.
